Restoring education with a conscience.
#FRSDMovingForward
For 15 years I have wanted to run for school board, and now that my children have all graduated from our exceptional Franklin Regional School District I am ready to serve every single person in this great district. Franklin Regional School District represents tradition and innovation. Our school district has deep roots in the community and maintains excellence through innovation and best practices. However, what makes FRSD great is YOU! Every person in this community represents our education system and every person in this community should have a voice in the future of our community. I am here to listen and learn from each of you.
Biography
A Commitment to Excellence

Traci is the executive director of EdTech by Design, a new non-profit research and publishing company specializing in educational technology and instructional design. Traci was the founder and owner of Little Linguists, Inc. a global language company specializing in global language acquisition, curriculum development, and language training. Before having children, Traci spent 12 years with Sherwin Williams Chemicals in Cleveland and SPI Polyols in Wilmington, Delaware, as the global sales and marketing director managing agents and distributors in Asia and Latin America.
Traci has lived in Export for 21 years with her husband, Mike, and their three children Ben (23), Libby (22), and Abbie (20), and was very active in FRAA and FR Varsity basketball, baseball, swimming, band, and every other sport and activity her children participated in throughout their careers at Franklin Regional School District. She is a member of the Murrysville Export Rotary and chair and advisor of the FRHS Interact club. She is also a member of the FR Backpacks to Go committee, providing students in need with many different resources.
Traci is polylingual and has a BA from Hiram College, MEd from Western Governors University in instructional design, and a pending Ph.D. in Educational Technology and Instructional Design.
Biggest issue(s):
Student safety and fiscal responsibility are her greatest concerns with Franklin Regional. COVID-19's impact on students' emotional well-being across the nation has manifested in bullying, and other emotional issues students are experiencing right now. Most people are not aware of the toll it is taking on our children. Traci wants to work with the PTOs, parents, and community to ensure they have the resources needed to combat this current problem. She also wants to find creative ways to fiscally sustain excellence in learning. FR can leverage our technology and exceptional teacher resources to attract students from outside the district, bringing in tuition money from this online learning platform.
Overall, you can expect Traci to focus on balancing excellence in education with fiscal responsibility. You will witness her collaborating with the community, businesses, and industry to solve our challenges. Finally, expect from her transparency and a resolute commitment to our children, parents, teachers, administrators, and taxpayers.

A Lifetime of Education Experience
Please take a look at my resume to see my life's work. My greatest life's work, however, is my three children.

The Campaign Kicks Off
February 16, 2021
Today I started to collect signatures for our petition to run for the school board. Many of you know I must cross-file, which means I am running on the Democratic and Republican ticket. This is appropriate because education should NOT be partisan. What is good for the child is good for our community, and education is good for the child AND the community.
Contact
I am always available to listen and exchange ideas. Without discourse, we cannot move forward. If elected I will keep weekly "Zoom" hours and a video update of school district news. For now, you can set up an appointment to chat on Zoom, the telephone, or in person. I'd love to hear your ideas on how to make FRSD the BEST it can be.
